A steady connection is the one must-have.
Photos are styled in the cloud, so the booth needs internet the whole time it runs.
- Secured networkPassword-protected Wi-Fi. Avoid open public networks.
- No sign-in pageNetworks that ask you to accept terms in a browser pop-up can drop the booth mid-event. Ask the venue for a direct password.
- Test upload speedRun a speed test from the booth spot, not the lobby. Upload speed matters more than download.
- Backup planKeep a phone hotspot ready in case venue Wi-Fi slows down at peak times.
Stand, wall, light.
A plain wall and soft front light make every look better. Here's the layout we recommend, seen from above.
iPad stand
A weighted, lockable floor stand with the camera at adult eye level. Landscape orientation.
Wall or backdrop
Plain and uncluttered. Avoid windows and mirrors behind guests.
Light
Soft light from the front, beside the booth. Never bright light behind the guests.
Flow
Leave room for a queue to one side, clear of doorways and walkways. Tape down every cable.
